This is one of the healthiest breeds on earth, and its life span averages 15-17 years. However, these dogs have very fragile bones and hence should not be exposed to physical influences. These dog breeds have similar temperaments and behavior. They are alert, curious, protective to the owner and suspicious to strangers and larger dogs.
