Actually, there is no such a variety within the breed, but very small puppies sometimes occur, as with all kinds of living beings. They are either prematurely born and not fully developed or have a dwarf gene, which is very rare. In both cases these dogs have many health problems and don’t live long. They weigh between 1 and 3 pounds and are very pretty and affectionate, but it is very difficult to keep such a dog. Breeders should not produce such dogs on purpose.
