These are low-maintenance dogs, but care must be taken not to injure this fragile creature. They must be trained not to struggle to get out of your arms in order to prevent falls. These dogs are not recommended for families with young children and should not be left around larger dogs without supervision. They should not be trusted with larger dogs either. Their saucy behavior may turn out to be provocative and is likely to make a larger dog angry. These dogs may bark a lot, but they can be taught not to do so.

Dogs of this breed are small and non-aggressive and a misconception is wide spread that they don’t need obedience course. When provoked, they will bite, no matter what their size is. So every puppy needs socialization and at least basic obedience course from an early age. These dogs are rather intelligent and can be taught different commands, such as coming up when called, sitting, and following the owner.
