Purebred dogs of this breed can be rather expensive, because they are difficult to breed and raise. If the puppies have their American Kennel Club certificate papers, they can run up to $800-$1000. Very small puppies or those having a rare color are more expensive. All reputable breeders provide registration papers, health certificates and pedigrees for every puppy. If you plan to show your dog and participate in competitions, it should have pedigree papers which trace the family history beyond the immediate parents of the pup.
